i hate shopping for pants

I went shopping today before Derek came and I'm seriously considering returning a pair of jean I bought. They're too long but fit me everywhere else but my butt. I think that the only jeans that will fit close to good will be womens which doesn't have the styles I want. THe problem is that my waist and everything says size 10 in womens EXCEPT for my hips, which are supposedly a size 2. What am I supposed to do? I think the only thing I'll ever own that will fit me properly will be a wedding dress and I'll only get to wear that once. :(
